Overwhored Bug Reports Thread

This is being created in conjunction with the latest beta so playtesters can post bug reports here. But once the game goes into general release, feel free to keep using the thread.

Looks great so far and the only bug I found is Tesa freaks out when you've killed only one of two agents then try to talk to her.

How does she freak out? Do you remember the dialogue, or general gist of it?

Or was it something she does?

Found 2 minor ones,
If you talk to Melita after she tells you how to get to Sayda she replays her asking you to get the banner.

After reaching the end if you go to the Overminds potion lab the game freezes.

How does she freak out? Do you remember the dialogue, or general gist of it?

Or was it something she does?

She didn't respond at all. The sprite would look in my direction then quickly switch back to looking forward.

Not sure if this is a bug or not, I reloaded a save from the previous version just before the cathedral boss and all the chest I'd opened had reset.

Playing it now, found a bug? Right from the start.

Loaded a save from the end of the previous version and went to the chapel via teleport. Soon as I walked into that '5 room' place, those two pentagrams came up and I was stuck.
 
Continuing now.

Edit: More a sanity thing than a bug... but when the mage gives you the items she needs for her potion, she says 'the graveyard'. For those who take things a bit literally, you might want to say 'the lab' in there somewhere.

Might also want to point to the bandit leader for the breast milk.... but I have no idea where to find potatoes yet. I tried the 'origina' village and even found a container with potato sprites (at least I think it is) at the first house, but nothing.

Spent an hour going back to every area I could think of where potatoes could be found and still haven't found them. 

Could definitely use some more direction to the general area where they can be found.  Although it does make a strange kind of sense that finding potatoes would be harder then getting breast milk from a strong willed woman in this game.

-edit-   Potatoes are drugs in this game.  Very nice actually.

Okay, I've playing it all the way through and here's what I got:

-The opening still uses the same portrait for Alexia, Iskis and Kael instead of the new ones.
-Not a bug, but I'm pretty sure the tileset you're using for the tower has a broken staircase on there somewhere, so you can actually have broken stairs.
-The credit monument map is weird and lopsided. Isn't there a way to balance it out? I think if you put in two exit squares instead of one, and slide the right hand side in a little, it should be fine.
-The mountain pass in the beginning strikes me as odd, that it just teleports you to the other side. Have you thought about putting something in there?
-Is Kael really supposed to learn Flame, as opposed to the single-target version of the spell? I thought those mindless slaves were supposed to suck.
-If you examine the upper left house door in the burned village from the square to the right of it, it opens. This is because the sprite is "turning" to face the Overmind, you need to direction fix that sprite in the event interface.
-You need a space between the amount and the word gold on all those money-granting chests.
-Not a bug, but the boat music seems kind of out of place given the subject matter....
-There are several places that slow you down, but the only one I noticed for certain is talking to Melita after getting the bandit's banner. Hopefully other people will chime in where the other places are.
-The trading post should use a square black "door" instead of a rounded top one. You can see the sand background around the curve of the doorway.
-When you go see the guard hiding his money while inside the vents, and go to that map after defeating Branda but before confronting Rubati, the guard's still standing there, not reacting to anything.

Other than that, it's pretty good. A little disappointed that you don't get to do anything more... intimate? with the tower mistress, but that's still the only time a footjob scene has turned me on.

Glad to see you took my suggestion for the item shop girl. I sent you some extra cash a couple days ago from the nomoshingsgames gmail account, if you could throw a credit up there for me I'd appreciate that.

1: Fixed.
2: Nope, not in vanilla VX. I'm considering an alternative type of stairs for that area, though, because there IS a broken stairway tile going straight up.
3: Fixed.
4: There was going to be a dungeon there, but I cut it for various reasons. I may put one there eventually, so I'm keeping it. If nothing else it's a convenient barrier right now.
5: Good catch. It's supposed to be the single target spell. Fixed.
6: Fixed.
7: That's a system default. I'll have to remember to manually edit it.
8: It's cheery, but I don't see why ALL the music in the game has to be dark or dreary. Besides, the Overmind is probably getting blowjobs in a tropical climate the whole way while the slave girls row. HE would be happy. Imagine him with a little umbrella drink.
9: Probably the boat. The boat always slows you down. I haven't figured out how to fix it.
10: Fixed.
11: Fixed.
12: I go with what's appropriate for the story first, and what's sexiest second. Though some people REALLY like footjobs, so I can't say it's not sexy.
13: I read all the feedback, but I don't comment on everything. It was a good suggestion. Thanks for making it.

On Potatoes: I don't want to hand the answer out. But I'll add a hint in the next release of the game. Hint: It's illegal in almost every nation. Where would you find illegal goods?

That bug is caused by using an old save, which uses bugged switches that cause all random movement by monsters and townspeople to stop.

Also, it IS stated to be illegal, but you have to look in the boxes in the place where it's sold to know that.

I just ran through as quick as I can, I'll do some more in depth testing later on, however.
Other than what has already been mentioned, I also noticed in the sewers, the Moss on the walls can be walked on.
