Nunu likes all these ideas. After all in every anime or other thing we have ever whatched we are only interested in the interesting people, IE: the main characters. and the thought of discovering or recruiting notables supports this very well, after all that is what many schools do with their sporting scholarships anyway, they go out of their way to get students who will make them look good. So hiring celebrity staff isn't the only thing you can do, encouraging an idol to come to your school would be a definant bonus, or buying a slave, building an andriod, summoning a demon, taming a monster and integrating them into your student body with specific instructions.

I seem to think of the smaller schools as a tweek of the larger schools function, how small is a small school? when you can get every staff member and student notable. sounds like an achievement to me.

also:
Example 2:
the player introduce the "sexy uniform" law. But there is a group of  girls that are not happy of it. So the player met  them and the protestant leader is added to the "notable students", and he can now interact with her to try to change her mind.

protestant leader... Ha Ha, irony.

Haha, Nunu, you just gave me an idea that cracks me up. Summoning a tentacle monster and integrating it with the student population.

"Girls, I'd like you to meet your new classmate, Pokey the tentacle demon. Girls, say hello."

The shenanigans that would ensue.

Actually as a brief aside, I have People... I haven't actually considered non-human people... should I? Do we need to fork out a "monster" specialization of a person which has variations over how a "normal" person operates?

Hrm... I do feel a derivative coming on...

I think being able to add non-humans and humanoids to the roster would be interesting, but I think that's something that should wait until later.  Unless you think it would mess with a lot of code to add it at a later date, I would say that's the first official expansion to HHS3. (As much as I love the idea of a tentacle monster student, I don't want to wait longer than absolutely necessary.  You're the coder though, so add whatever you want.)

I would think that you would be able (at least in a magic school) add things like elves and other humanoid beings without having to reconfigure a whole bunch of programing, not if they were students. You would ony have to add modifiers to each of the stats for the different kinds of creatures. Such as, for elves, being a strong moral people (at least I think they are) you just add a modifier for things that are completly immoral, something like -15% effectiveness when they have this attribute on their profile, or maybe something like a nymph or something along those lines it would +15% effectiveness but also add -15% behavoir since those kind of races are usually very mischivious(?). Anyway you get what I'm saying. In fact maybe that should be the poll for next month: What other races do you want for the magical school. If anything this will add a wider range to the already impressive amount of pictures we can put in.

Don't you wish you're tags were just cool like mine.

From my point of view a school would only be fun if I had to interact with and/or have to control  let's say 100 or in the worst of the cases 200 individual characters. More than that I believe would be a pain in the neck. So, the idea of generic students sounds great for those who wish larger schools.

With a small group (100/200) to handle it would be good if the Principal could take some part or have some influence over the election of presidents within the students body.

As of non-humans students I believe the ability to insert them in the game should be there, but for later implementation.

so Ive read most of the first post and thats it, so im sorry if this or part of this was brought up somewhere else.

ok, in the demo you had to buy more classes so you school is starting small which makes this possible for you to go to each student (max of 60 with two rooms) if you wanted to but later if you want to do this it would take a long time and there would be no way of doing this if visiting a student took up time in the game (meaning time passes with a visit) so what you could do is tie it into a stat your chara has and instead of to student by student you can start doing classes, clubs, ect and get a summary of the visit which you could go through and see the effects you had on each student in the class/club/whatever and at the top of the summary it would say what effects it had on the school stats (if successful good, if mostly successful then partly good, if tie half right half fail no effects, if partly bad some negative effects and if just total fail some large negative effects) I didnt count how many class rooms your had in the demo but i think it was 10, so a total of 300 students would still take a while and this is leaving aside the fact that realistically there would be more teachers and could get up to 4,000 students (largest number i know to attend a highschool)

once again, sorry if something like this was suggested.

i'm all for the idea of specific important characters that you can interact with. Interacting with the whole school could get intrusive and annoying, the idea of being able to talk to the leaders of clubs, important students within the school and any others that seem sensible is the only workable way of doing it, short of the school being very small.

what about the players with no life and have nothing better to do then waste time checking up on classes of students

and add on- (because im bored) its an option until you get an X number of students and thern its no longer available and can only check on club leaders and class presidents to see how things are doing?
