Office Girl Revamp & other projects
« on: March 24, 2011, 04:21:27 am »

So, if there's any major flaw I see with the storylines and events currently in game(s), it's how the office girl rather quickly seems to become irrelevant unless you're attempting to sway PTA members. Are there any non-implemented plans to expand her a little, even if it's just some generic events like a fuck here or there?

Currently I'm going to start working on an alternative teacher based on images of Villeta Nu from Code Geass to serve as a gym teacher. Wouldn't mind diversifying the pool I draw from, but I'd need the names of some similar looking characters. Only good one I could think of was Urd from Ah My Goddess, but alas I have no photoshop skills and the markings on her face simply will not do. I'm quite big on the characters looking the same from picture to picture and using only quality images.

As to how this is relevant, I just finished a multi-hour 1,000 images plus hunt through various galleries on http://g.e-hentai.org/ and I've assembled several folders of other potential teachers currently divided by hair color. Needless to say this'll need further sorting to see what image sets could be viable for a new teacher. Some of these could be put towards enhancing the office girl, and may as well if I can't hammer out a new character from them.

Beyond my initial Villeta Concepts which includes using the students to break her (Rape-ish pics outnumbered the consensual looking ones by maybe 3-1), I don't have much. Although, some of the teacher pics gave a "younger" impression. Especially the shorter haired ones. So, maybe some story based on them being naive and really fresh out of college... would also work with the defloration pics I'd found.

Maybe this weekend I'll start sorting things to subfolders, not inclined to organize the 240 or so I ended up keeping just yet.

I'm working on a storyline for the next version of HHS, and I do intend to make the Office Girl (who I'm calling your Secretary) a more involved character than she currently is.  She will be one of your first conquests, and thereafter be one of your chief resources on future attempts.

I also think she's a bit underplayed, so I have every intention on making her worthwhile.

Similarly, I have a few ideas for events involving the Doctor.  Nothing set in stone, but in the works.

Any version in particular? Of the current choice between HHSC, HHS+ and HHS by Hedonismbot I'm personally preferential to C. So, I'm going to be basing all everything around the way that game functions. Needless to say, I'm open to people grabbing anything I do and adapting it to their version with or without modifications.

But yeah, I mean in the early game she's quite useful and much of your interaction is with her. Then it stops. Just makes sense that she'd have more things to do with you considering you would interact with your secretary more than any other member of your staff.

Anyways, if the ones that fit the secretary don't get put into another teacher, I'll be sure to send them your way. Alternatively, has anyone given thought to expanding the list of doctors and secretaries? It could certainly add to the variety, and especially to the bonuses they provide. A different doctor could provide you with a different series of drug possibilities... and presumably an alt. secretary could have other applicable skills in addition to a different personality and storyline.

I do not relish the idea of doing a search for doctor pics.... but I know I'll have trouble sleeping now that the idea is in my head.

I'm planning this story for HHS3, which I believe will be a later version/adaption of HHS+.

As for the choice of Secretary and doctor, these are both quite possible, but could cause a few problems storywise.  Each school will have a story of its own, as the idea of this newer version is to have more smaller schools with their own stories and themes.

My current plan is for one secretary and one doctor.  This will make writing easier, but adding more of either wouldn't be TOO major of an undertaking.  Still a lot of work though, unless only the images changed.

I think for key characters like the doctor, there may end up being some issues by trying to create unique ones per school.

As I said in the first post, I'm particularly hampered by my insistence that images sourced for a character be consistent and high quality. As such, I'm noticing how difficult it can be finding enough normal pictures that fit the situation of the character (ie. they look like a teacher or doctor) while still maintaining a good sense of resemblance. Sexual pictures are far easier to come by. Now, I know the magic school being so radically different in art requirements won't suffer from this, but the more schools based on the real world are available in game the more divided the image well becomes.

It all really ends up boiling down to how central the teachers and staff will be to the overall narrative of the school. The current games have the teachers as the only real story going on at the school besides some random events that flesh out the progression of your master plan, but the teachers and staff are largely detached from each other and have stories that operate independently of the rest of the school. If the point is to have a tight narrative with each school, then staff selection will be removed and the staff will be incorporated as part of the school's reality. This would be further supplemented with generic events that play out the overall progress of the school relative to your choices. It would also be just like stepping into a position at a school, not everyone gets to hire or fire their entire staff when they get their first big management position.

Point is, I'm not sure the question of where the teachers fit into the overall story has been answered, or at least I haven't seen it. It is entirely possible to create a series of non-teacher event trees for each school that'd give them enough color and soul to stand on their own with a non-dedicated teacher pool. Personally, I think that'd be the overall best way to go.

Why would there be issue making a unique character for the school?

Manage School > Hire Staff > Secretary > UNIQUE GIRL (only choice)

Doesn't look to difficult to me.

Well, I'm not exactly done searching for doctor/nurse pics, but so far I've found 39 good ones. I don't think any 5 even look alike. Hit a temp. bandwidth limit last night, so it's a work in progress. But I'd remind that I sifted through closer to 2,000 than 1,000 images (not all unique) and ended up keeping 240 which may result in no more than 12 viable teacher image sets.

Point is, there are only so many worthwhile images floating around and can only be compiled into so many worthwhile characters. I've been operating under the assumption that once development picks up on the coding side and things can be added into the game that more schools beyond the current one and conceptualized magic school would be added. Sooner or later, you run into an issue of available characters to use. Unless you begin recycling images.

There's easily enough pictures for a full staff for one maybe two more reality based schools assuming a dedicated staff, but I'm not sure you could force out any more than that. Again, it's a question of how central the staff stories are to the overall school's one. If they're effectively like sidequests in an RPG, then having dedicated teachers or doctors becomes pointless.

Just because you don't have enough pics from one source to make a character doesn't mean it's the end of the world.  Just look at HHS2.  A few of the teachers shift between characters depending on what you have them wear.

The office girl in that game also changed from one scene to the next.  A similar hairstyle and/or breast shape is all that's really needed to say it's the same character.  The images are more there to illustrate the nature of the scene than give an accurate portrayal of what's happening.  If that were the case then MOST of the images would be unusable, since the uniforms are never the same.

Yeah, I'm not concerned with those images. Just with the event ones. Most of them do seem draw from the same source character or series, for instance Parker draws a lot on the mother and daughter from "Anyone you can do I can do better" and Carmen Smith is mostly if not exclusively from "Onegai Teacher".

The mismatching uniforms I'm ambivalent about, it absolutely cannot be helped. My point is the bulk of the images for recurring characters should look similar, they don't have to be exactly the same character just enough to pass as it at a glance.

As for the possible office girl pics, here's 6 good ones.

It really isn't a big deal.  All you have to do is get any CG set, pick a character, and use those images.  I have quite a few sets at my disposal, and any one character from any of them could be used for a character in game.  Granted teachers are a bit tougher to find pics for, but students are easy as pie to find sets for.

Again, depends. For your story, you are limited based on the images to a degree. The images can add a lot to the color and tone of the scene in ways that word choice can't.

I think we'd also rather avoid describing things in a scene without images for them, sex scenes in particular.

Anyways, I'm more or less done sorting my images and evaluating, I think I may have 3 brunettes (one could be a secretary for the poor school), 3 black haired ones (threw the purple haired ones in to make it a more viable image group), a green haired one (likely only good as a nurse), potentially 2 red heads, my initial Villeta concept and a cheerleader. So, 11 total assuming I can get the red-heads to work.

Consider the prior six pictures yours if you want. Ended up deleting them because they didn't fit the rest of the set. I've got a few more actually. You've seen the first, but it's apparently part of a set.

Although, I am left with one final nagging issue. For the cheerleader (since I think we need a few more student characters), I've got two equal piles of images that pull in different ways. One would be to use her as an antagonist, I seem to recall a student president or an idea like that where you'd have to corrupt an influential student. That could be one way to take her. My other consideration, after finding some delicious home scenario pictures, is for her to come from a crappy home (or any kind of convenient backstory) and she ends up living with you. Permanently or temporarily. Needless to say, you want to make her yours... Some of the pictures could easily work for either story.

This thread has received 501, views last I checked. Some more commentary might be nice.
