Why isn't there a simple guide for new players?
« on: June 23, 2021, 07:49:19 am »

A lot of the questions I have don't seem to pop up on search or because of the keywords on search I get a lot of clutter. Wiki seems useless as well. It would be great if someone wrote a detailed guide on how to play the game even if to just get started like what details to look out for when talking to the npc's in the game. It would be great on how to learn what to look out for that each npc likes and dislikes besides just their hobbies and how to get them to like you.

Before I tried to play seriously and just wanted to test the game out I was able to place a spycams in the bathroom and locker room. I even went as far as waiting for the school to close for the afternoon and no one is in the room on this playthrough but still can't place them even though I got three of them in my inventory for some reason. The one in the principal's room works just fine.

On the June Perrier quest I'm at the part with having to talk to Ria but no matter what I do when trying to talk to her she never talks about her low grades or that she's struggling at school. Which brings me to my next question.

How the hell am I suppose to get anyone let alone students, staff and pta members their phone numbers? I tried flirting with one girl each time I get the chance and she either gets mad at me for using the same lines or a failed selection?? Same with normal chatting and asking questions I already asked saying "didn't you already ask me that?"

While on topic how are you even to corrupt anyone without resulting to using drugs, mind control or hypnosis? The ones that don't have quests to corrupt or is it not possible?

I wrote this out and divided everyone into groups, depending on what things they ask for under the "Do you need help with anything?" interaction.
Group 1 was Inappropriate Casual Clothes, Sexy Casual Clothes and Slutty Swimwear.
Group 2 was Energy Drink, Fine Wine and Drugs.
Group 3 was Art Supplies, DSLR Camera and Nude Photo.
Group 4 was Sci-Fi Novel, Comic Book and "School of Sex" (usually book 1)
Group 5 was $50, Gym Clothes and $100

I then went around and applied each of the Special characters to each particular Group. Here's my findings.
Group 1:
Lindsey Melkers, Sandra and Felicia Titsbig, Samantha Keller, Daisy Maddox, June Perrier, Jenny Coppers, Stacy Slutsky

Group 2:
Annette, Ameli Coppers, Rie Perrier, Hana Fuda, April Raymund, Sherilyn Ambrose

Group 3:
Anita Yochild, Susan Hooter, Elsie Green, Deborah Simmons, Ginny Nightshade, Mandy Meyers, Lucas Hudson, Claire Fuzushi, Carl Walker, Anastasia Goth, Priscilla and Lilly Rosenlace, Ruby Valentine, Jocelyn Everkeen

Group 4:
Sierra and Karin Hardman, Beth Manili, Nina Parker, Ivana Yochild, Carmen Smith, Lydia Swan, Sally Proudbottom, Richie Banks

Group 5:
Suzy Slutsky, Ronda Bells, Jessica Underwood, Oliver Dixon, Peter Hooter, Diana King, Peach Proudbottom, Donna Bolox

As far as spycams go, an event has to fire that will tell you that you can place one wherever. Sports Field, Girls Locker Room and Toilets are the usuals.

The Perrier quest. Firs t step is having PI Holmes investigate June. Then once he gives you his findings, go and find Rie. The event should fire automatically. Rie does NOT come to you; YOU have to go to HER. Calling her over the PA system doesn't seem to work for whatever reason.

Phone numbers.
Easy. Finish out their requests in the "Do you need help with anything?". This will raise their friendship stat up to 30 (in most cases). Then ask for the phone number under "Personal Information". If they don't, talk to them and ask about family, friends, work... And then try again in about an hour's time. Each phone call will further raise friendship by about 10. Once you hit 100, the Relationship score should be around about 10.

Lastly, corruption is only one viable route through the game. There are some that don't have it (April Raymund and most of the entire randomly generated townie population) because it was never developed for those characters and one case of started-but-never-finished (Claire Fuzushi). In those cases just Mind Control their asses.
One other viable route is Seduction - and I feel that this is dependant on the Friendship and Relationship scores. I think this is probably the most difficult route to take.
The third tactic I've seen people attempt is the Good Principal, Pervy Sinner run: Run the school as best you can but don't molest the students but instead focus your lusts on the adult population instead. That actually sounds like fun. Some take this to the extreme though: Sex NOBODY.

It's because you are supposed to observe how she performs during class.

Each student has a personality description, e.g. "wicked royal". I recently found out, that the first characteristic gives a hint, what compliment to choose regarding the personality, the latter characteristic for the body compliment. And the hobby of course for the first compliment option.

This I know, as you would have seen if you had read the rest of the post.
What strikes me as really weird is that you NEED the Newspaper. Reading about the crime wave on the computer doesn't activate the event.
I wonder if someone can explain to me why this is the case.

Dolt. It's not dead. Where have you been the last year? 1.10 is in heavy development (this is a free time project after all) and there are so many bugs to be fixed and more features to be implemented.

Next time, you might like to actually look around in the HHS+ Development sub board.

Thank you for the efforts,I hope to see update too, but it is 3 years from last update...( and last update only rewrote writing to make it worse, so it is like anti-update...) for most of the people, it is abandoned , or in development-hell. Too many chefs, maybe- I don't ask why, this is just my vision

This isn't a title with a patreon, nor anything similar. This is literally a free time project. Therefore it has no release schedule. At the same time, that means that the number of people who enjoy it don't really matter.

Speaking personally about my own work, which is largely creating events, I do it for personal enjoyment. It's fun to write in an aggressively 'naughty' space, which is a lot different then most writing one does.

Also... yes, I am aware of the writing... issues that happened with the last update. People other then myself rewrote almost all the event text, which was mostly my own writing prior. This was done for good reasons, converting to a more readable format, getting colors standardized, and just some general style improvements. Sadly, the person in question has talents (considerable ones) which are not related to actually writing enjoyable material. People get different things out of the game, and for some people, the writing doesn't loom large as something that matters. After all, it's just a porn game...

That said, I've spent a decent amount of time over the last few years restoring a lot of the writing quality again, so it should be considerably improved with the new release.  Of course, I'm curious if the people in the beta feel the same way?

I've noticed and it does read better now.
And while there are small spelling and grammar mistakes, they're nothing major. Anything I've found I've already reported it. Most of them have been fixed by now.

Thanks so much for the info and help. Any tips on how to find out what kind of flirting a person likes even if random to seduce them? Other than blindly trying to find out by selecting each choice per person that is? Also thanks about the corruption info as I was wanting to try to corrupt the students themselves. At least till I could find all the event quests and go through them.

I read that hypnotizing or using the mc device can ruin some quests. Is there a list of the static npc's that don't have quests so I can start corrupting them? I'm wanting to try and find and go through the quests in the game at least once before I go crazy with the mind controlling lol.

I realise that I forgot to include one or two in my list above. Donna Bolox is Group 5 and Richie Banks is Group 4. I'll just amend my earlier post to reflect this.

* You could argue that Claire Fuzushi also has no quest involvement. Someone started writing one for her and then just disappeared.
* Another such case might be Stacy Slutsky, but she kind of does have some sort of quest line. Kind of.

Just for the sake of clarity, these are all based on their personality archetypes.

Group 1 = ArchetypeRoyal
Group 2 = ArchetypeRebel
Group 3 = ArchetypeArtist
Group 4 = ArchetypeNerd
Group 5 = ArchetypeJock
