Feature requests, wishlists
« on: June 30, 2014, 03:45:01 pm »

As we don't have this kind of topic I thought we could give devs a little more insight about what we would like to see in the future releases:

Here's my 2 cents:
1. Visible character stats in interaction phase (something similar to what we had in 0.71)
2. Possibility to make any fertile character pregnant (even text only variable that someone is pregnant would be nice)
3. Changing images of Ground Floor East and West ;D

1 Support the east and west swap over!
2 Support stats visibility!
3 If there is no variable for pregnancy, at least some events including pregnancy that do not need said variable. (we do have hospital with maternity ward in there ;))

If noone else creates anything related to pregnancy, I shall pick up the torch. Both in terms of the kisekae dolls and events. Major turnon for me :P

I would like to see some more balance in the game when it comes to money.  Initially there are not enough ways to make any significant money.  Even the Photoshop stuff is peanuts for the amount of time you put in to be successful.

1.0/1.01 have WAY better money balance than r854 did.  Further money-related things may be added, but it is unlikely that you will see any additional increase in how much money per month you can have.

With maxed out income, you can afford everything you need.
With early attention to education and reputation, you can quickly go from being able to afford 3 teachers (without losing money) to 6 teachers within a month or two.

If you still have money trouble, I would recommend selling the MC Device ($25,000).

Hmmm i dont think Money is a big Proble. Sure at the beginning you have to be careful, but if you start hiring 3 Teachers, just 2-3 Buildings at first (computer Room, cafeteria and Pools for Example) and some Spy Cams you can do well for the Start. You get income from the Clubs (Panty sell, Restaurant) and your school income raises. I think it´s really good Ballanced as it is. Just dont overdue it at first.

I spent a lot of time balancing the numbers out, so that a few things are true:
  • No matter how well you do, you won't feel like you have unlimited money (can't hire every teacher, plus spending money every day on the available events).
  • Unless you actively try to screw yourself (no teachers, etc), your student population (and thus income) will steadily grow until you get to about 200 students (which means double starting income)
  • If you do well, you will gain a lot of students (and income) every month.
  • The more students you have, the more education+happiness your school will need to prevent students from leaving, and to entice more students (you need at least 80 average happiness plus education in order to eventually reach max students [400])
  • There are events that allow you to make some extra spending money (to balance out the possible losses from stuff like the chem lab).
  • Lowered the odds of losing money researching drugs at low skill (no more 75% failure rate before your first success) - replaced with the cash-neutral failure (still hard to succeed, but you won't bleed money as fast - hopefully removes the incentive to save-scum).
  • Added extra monthly income (your personal salary) based on your reputation.  This is potential income that simply didn't exist previously, and is more than a teacher's salary (so can afford an extra teacher, plus spending money, or have enough money to do whatever else you want with).
  • Balanced out the staff salaries, primarily a reduction in the cost for Anastasia Goth and Karin Hardman, to be in-line with real life correlations (using a nurse for Karin, not doctor, since schools don't actually hire a doctor).

Considering that r854 really wasn't playable (you were stuck at the starting amounts forever) in a money sense, it really bothers me to see people will all the extra options added that are still having trouble.
In my playthroughs, I always felt like money was tight for 1-2 months, then a couple months where I was doing well, and then I just started to building up spare cash due to a lack of things to spend it on (I usually stop at 6 teachers until I pass 200 students).

I would absolutely love hotkeys, have a letter in each location button underlined and press that key to go there.

Also maybe hit backspace to automatically go back to the last location you were in to make it easier to bounce between locations while event hunting.

And hotkeys for the hacking minigame where arrow keys + enter control the right side and WASD + l. shift control the left.

Hotkey stuff aside, some way to force an event to trigger in the debug tool so we can get around bugged events if we really need to, or just avoid events that are a huge pain to trigger like getting sierra hardman to attend a gym class.

And speaking of the debugger, a button that refreshes every event would be nice so you don't have to spend half an hour hunting for which events you need to update just to keep using a save game, unless that's actually there and I'm just not seeing it.

Finally, maybe add a way to save your current class schedule to a separate file that you can load and apply to any game. The worst part of starting a new game is going through each teacher and setting up all their classes again.

All the (limited) issues I have with money are basically me just trying to do too much right at the start.  I've trimmed back my start to be a bit leaner, and most of those problems vanished (though a few caused by some RNG hate still happen once in a while)

It's still hard to get away with hiring Karin in the first couple months, but I view her more as a mid-game thing anyway.

I definitely agree on that.  And (its a sad statement about how we pay people in the USA), nurses *are* more expensive to hire than teachers (despite teaching high school requiring a minimum of 2-3 additional years of education).
But, for example, why would you hire a librarian and doctor/nurse, and one teacher, for a school of 75?

Common sense is to hire teachers first, and then fill out your staff once your school has more than 2-3 classes worth of students :P

I think that one way you could ameliorate the fact that Karin is more expensive would be to create a larger benefit to hiring her.  Nurses in schools are expensive because they have valuable skills, while right now she doesn't really do anything beneficial to you as far as I know.  She is only important from a plot standpoint, whereas all the other teachers provide you some mechanical value.  She worked at a lab, could she maybe be an early chemistry tutor in the same way that Anastasia helps you boost your hacking skills for a price?

I would like to be able to actually invite people to the home, darkroom, bedroom.   Sucks that you play hours for an event, then you kind of lose any of the unique play of the girl if you invite her back.  So I would at least like to be able to replay the event or event climax.

Like to see something done with the shower and bath option they added.

The shower and bath options will have expanded content after I get to them in my massive backlog.  I've got plans and images for your sister being involved, and I believe someone else has already made the date option include showers and baths, but I might be mistaken.

The first request . . . replaying events . . . that's really not easy to do.  Maybe someone with better actual coding skills could do that fairly easily, but to make the event replayable without repeating the stat changes would require a second, mirror event, and a rather complicated interface.  I do understand what you're aiming for, though, and it's part of the reason that few of the events I create are one-time only.  Even the enslavement of Claire Fuzushi can actually be repeated.  Assuming you let her break from of the enslavement, you can watch her be enslaved again.

I think most unique characters need some kind of end of chain "payoff" event (or several, if there's a branching ending and/or multiple locations that it would make sense to have separate events for) that allow you to have sex with them in a non "generic" manner and basically do nothing but return the conditions at the start of said event (basically an infinite loop if you keep triggering it) with maybe a bit of a stat change that reinforces what you've already done to the character's stats with its event chain (IIRC the Hooters corruption line basically works this way, Unless I missed its actual ending and it stops letting have fun with her in her home afterwards).

It really bugs me that finishing a character's quest line basically turns it generic in many cases...

People who replied previously wanted added quantity of events before the finishing of chains (more events add a lot more to the game).
That said, work IS being done on the event chains, but until just before 1.0 was completed, there were chains that hadn't even been converted to the new format.

So, you can expect these additions, but done slowly.
I personally fixed the (old) errors in the Hooters chain (though some seem to have re-emerged in the last month), and then added some extra events (you can have sex with her in the office).
