Title: Futanari Overhaul Mod!! (v1.0.2)
Post by: Devient_Futa on September 24, 2018, 06:55:54 pm
Hello Everyone!!

So for the past year I have been enjoying this game however I found that there are not enough Futanari based events (Little Biased) so I thought why not do it myself! Now disclaimer this is the first time I have ever modded a game but through a lot of testing this 1st version of the game is a version which I am happy with.

For now this Mod is only a Futanari Overhaul i.e. just adding more events for existing areas, However in the future I am planning on revamping the town and school.

As of the 1st Version I have added a new Sauna area to the Onsen, as for now this area only has Futanari events however soon I will add events for both Male and Female characters. Also I have created a Futanari Onsen on its own so Futanari Principles have to use the new area.

So If you like the idea of this mod here is the download link: Mod v1.0.2 (Mega): https://mega.nz/#!OqwB3ayR!l00OOXJ9FqDOHfh1pDYqoLkkp2q1MiBXsIgf8IJqPbk

Patch Notes: v1.0.2
- New Area!: Naginata Shrine, Avaliable from the Lake
- Changes to the Onsen: Both Female and Futa onsens are now together again. If People want them split again it is do able.
- New Events

Patch Notes: v1.01
- Grammar Fixes in events
- Fixes for images paths in events
- New Events
- More Pictures added to current events
- Fixed Content filters for Events and Pictures

So please down leave all your feedback. I am hoping to keep this Mod up to date.  ;D

Thank you!

Well done! I haven't played it yet, but looking through some of the events files and pictures, things look well organized, consistent, and good quality.

-I really, really like the boarding school idea, even though nothing is in for it yet.
-I have mixed feelings about having the separate futa onsen. I can definitely see some benefits for organizing events, but having a futa only area seems like it would make it too easy to ruin the surprise ;) . Plus, the school bathrooms/changing room don't split off futas, so it seems a bit inconsistent. You may also want to look at my other thread where I was asking questions. One of the devs posted a WIP program that is going to be used for handling characters for events in those types of gender exclusive areas.

Also, I've been working a bit on my first mods to fill in a few areas that seem empty to me, so did a lot of reading first to try and make sure they are consistent with and can be added to the main. I noticed a few potential issues if your end goal is to get this merged with the main. Obviously take these with a grain of salt, since I'm inexperienced.
-Many files are missing image tagging. Also, the few I looked at the meta files were set to questionable when they should be explicit. Generally, visible dick skin=explicit
-Some files are pretty large. For most images, around 200 kb should be the max, unless it's a gif or image quality suffers. I've been shooting for around 100 kb in my files.
-They seemed to be at least trying to keep the big characters relatively consistent (namely anne). The biggest thing seems to be hair color, so those may need to be edited if and when this gets merged with main.
-A couple minor typos. Restraunt->restaurant, shrine madeins -> shrine maidens, etc.

But overall, seems 10/10 good job looking forward to the evolution of this.

Also, some of your ideas were things that I was going to eventually pursue once I had more time, so I have some images saved that you may be able to use, if you are interested.

Hey so thank you for the feedback,

For starters as for now I have no intention of become a part of the main game mostly due to the fact that I was planning on changing a lot of stuff with the world. However I could change my mind in the future. Also do keep in mind that this is also my first time doing any sort of coding or modding in anyway so I will screw some things up.

Secondly, I have been trying to fix up general grammar so thanks for pointing out a few instances.

Thirdly, the current School Boarding house idea is still being refined, In a earlier version I had it going however I decided to trim the fat for my first release so that was one of the additions that I got rid of for now. Some other Ideas was to change how the school times and calendar worked so having set school times and holidays was something I was thinking of doing (Based off of Japanese school year). However I have had a lot of trouble starting this so for now something like that is for the future.

Fourthly, I have generally been tagging different images based on what I have seen previously in game files so I can stay consistent, However if there is an issue I will gladly go back and re-tag images

Fifthly, The reason why I made a separate onsen was because I saw that Futa's were a separate gender so I made it so they were separated, but if the general consensus is to put them back together I can easily do that.

Finally, For the size of the files I had compressed a lot of events into one event to keep the amount of events in one file smaller. This allowed for me to quickly go back in and change things faster. If this is not a normal thing to have in a mod for this game I can change it and spread out the events. But also keep in mind the files will be large due to the fact that there are over 2000 images for the mod so that takes up quite a bit of space.

Thank you once again for your feedback.

Hey, Devient. Thanks for the mod. More futa contento is always welcome. just a bug report. After applying 1.0.2, the bath scenes changed. I don't get any picture from the Home bathroom, and get those pictures from the Onsen.

Hey Thanks for Bringing that to my attention, Because I am an idiot I screwed up the bathing Function but here is the fixed version.

Just install this File to: Schools\NormalSchool\Events\FunctionLibrary\Bathing

This fix will be added to the next version of the mod.

Hey, So I check my modded game folder and my fresh game folder and didn't see that file in either. I do have the latest version of the game, so this must be an issue with wither the base game or you don't have the latest version.

I would recommend re-installing a fresh version of the game 1.9.4 and then installing the Overhaul mod in another version. Just so you always have a fresh version on hand.

Will this mod work with latest update 1.9.5? there has been changes to the map recently with one of the newer updates to 1.9.5 version.

I haven't changed anything for the latest version so I wouldn't try it unless you make a copy of the base game.

Any plans to update to 1.9.5? I don't see any need for rush of that though. I am using Lexville mod but I of course reinstalled 1.9.4 version for that since that mod isn't updated either yet for 1.9.5. ;) Might make a new 1.9.4 folder for this mod too.

The only thing i've noticed broken so far is the location stuff in NormalSchool (since it adds a shrine, and the map changed) in 1.95 so.. heres a quick attempt at a fix by a uninvolved person.
So after installing the mod over a 1.95 install,
replace the NormalSchool.xml in HHS/Schools  with this, start a new game, and hope for the best?
No idea what else is broken though.
Edit:
Also fixed and attached: Btn_NudePhotes goes in  Schools\NormalSchool\Events\Location\Your Bathroom
Also fixed and attached: AnnetteSleepOver goes in Your Home Home (although you might want to move the mods AnnetteSleep/SleepOver events to Your Guest Room instead and overwrite the basegames, as they did that in 1.95, making you have to go into the guest room to get the event.

If you're only adding Locations - and not modifying anything else in the NormalSchool.xml - I recommend using a WorldExtension instead. Make a new world with only your locations in and save it as an extension (in the extension folder), then connect those locations with existing ones via an event with 'Location Connection'.

This way you won't need to update them every time NormalSchool.xml is modified.

Edit: just noticed the earlier post by iAnimeDeath mentioning that they use Lexville, so I guess that answers my question. Whoops.

Not updated for 1.9.5 yet though. So only 1.9.4 version will work of HHS+.

Keep in mind that most mods (especially ones with images) made for NormalSchool won't work (properly) for any other Scenario without someone editing all the paths to point to the other scenario. So for every event that contains a 'Schools\NormalSchool\...' path in it, you'd have to replace that via Notepad++ or something.

ALTERNATIVELY, perhaps it's possible to put all the mod files in the Custom Scenario and also make a copy of the mod images in the regular NormalSchool path. Perhaps that'll allow them to be referenced from the custom Scenario. Don't know if there's anything besides images that uses full paths, but if there isn't, that might work.

Hello all,

I have created a little patch to remove the need of the NormalSchool file using the WorldExpansion functionality (and so allow compatibility with Lexville and other different school mods in principle - although the original files in the mod would still need to be ported of course). Please note I am not the mods creator and so use this patch at your own risk.  This also includes the bugfixes which Rirane added to include it in one place.

Hope you all have a loverly day!

P.S. If the creator is interested in a Lexville port I would be happy to lent a hand as I made a tool recently to automate the process (Seems to work fairly reliably :))
I'm not sure what I did wrong, but I keep getting an Exception when playing:

Strange bug or something. If i catch futa masturbating event in classroom, corruption and other stats raises a lot. +7 at time or more. I think, thats broking a game. How to fix that?

Yes, I agree the boosts on stats is way too high. 50-100 times higher than usual

There is also a bug on one of anette's events
Code: [Select]
Location\Your Guest Room\AnnetteWork.ve.xml [EXEC] caused an exception at operation SeqActLat_RemoteEvent (ID: 384).
Unable to find Remote Event 'FunctionLibrary\PutPersonInLocation'

it should be FunctionLibrary\Location\PutPersonInLocation

just open GetPDStates.ve.xml in a text editor and search and delete <SeqCond_CompareBool> and </SeqCond_CompareBool> respectively.
(if its the same as me, you will only find one of each in each file, that's the pointer that you're doing the right thing).
Also there will be one more file that has the same error (at least for me), CheckFutaPrefs.ve (CheckFutaPrefs.ve.xml), where you just do the same... then there will be no more errors. :)

Won't recommend playing this mod with Lexville, as sbslutty says the events need to be ported or they will conflict. I enjoyed this mod a lot but I'm no coder, if no one is going to do it I can give it try, only if someone can at least give a guide or explain how someone can accomplish this task.

Bascially a search and replace on NormalSchool with ModSchool and Smallville with Lexville in all .xml files in the folders.

Then load the events and check them for errors. There shouldn't be, but just to make sure.

I got it to work somewhat by following DasBrain's instructions.
I don't think I'll be using it as the corruption gains are completely overpowered (though that may be a thing with Lexville's increased gains).

A Real-world example: I loaded a Lexville save I had with ~30 Corruption. Two weeks later it was 90+.
I love the extra futa content and would probably use it if it didn't go completely apeshit on me.

Everybody, I'll just repeat myself for four seconds.
The corruption boosts are way too high and WILL break your game, removing any sort of challenge the game has.

Post by: zzoommgg on August 29, 2019, 07:09:27 pm
The reason why the balance is off for this mod is because of two reasons.
i) Extremely high modifier for most lewd events, essentially double digits increment for corruption/lust.
ii) (Very critical) The stat increment is for ALL people in the area, not just the event participating ones.

These can be easily fixed by reducing the stat increment, and update the event so that only the participating people have the stat increment. You may argue in some cases, like students openly masturbating should affect all others in the location, if that is the case just adjust the stats accordingly.

Attached is sample of changes to some Futa mod only event that I am currently adjusting for my Lexville playthrough. (You may convert the files to Normal HHS+ using sbslutty's mod tool at  https://www.henthighschool.com/hhs-mods/mod-creation-tool-v-1/ (https://www.henthighschool.com/hhs-mods/mod-creation-tool-v-1/) )

These are for Classroom events, at located at "Schools\ModSchool\Events\Location\School"
(for normal HHS, "Schools\NormalSchool\Events\Location\School"

FWIW, I followed DasBrain's instructions and things broke pretty thoroughly. Probably did something wrong that's easily correctable, but between that and the balance being way off, I certainly think it would be nice if someone who knows how made a new version.

I have a small question about this problem. Is there a way to lower those boosts and howdo you go about it? For instance, if you want to adjust those corruption boosts is there a single modifier for the entire game to use or do you have to do it for every event independently?

So, Installed the mod, installed sbslutty's thing.

St Judas's Church is gone.  Just a blank screen, no way to enter the main church building.  You can get out to Oak Street.

Mill Street is gone.  You can get out to the train station, but you can't return to the Park from there.

St Marie Hospital outside is gone.  You can get out to the inside of the hospital.

For some reason your home bathroom has text referencing the Sauna?  Also getting error messages regarding my growth pills.

I'm not really surprised that there are problems in the world. It probably changed something in the world file of the core game and this mod uses a copy. It should be using a World Extension instead and connect the added areas of the mod with the existing ones of the core game using an init event, that way it would be more future proof.

Sadly the mod author might not be active to fix it :(

There is a world extension patch on page 2 which i used to be able to use it with lexville.
- You just have to delete a few files as per the readme added to that patch.
- Then convert the files to lexville with a modding tool.
- Next part is a bit tricky, when it asks to overwrite stuff DON'T overwrite anything except for the last image file.
- INSTEAD KEEP BOTH FILES. tHE FILES THAT ARE NAMED THE SAME WILL ADD A NUMBER AT THE END.
- Also reload and refresh files after. I do think it only works in a new game but don't know for sure.

The only problem i had afterwards was that the futa events added by the mod just gave way to high boosts to corruption, inhibition, lust and happiness.

With high regards,

Reinyn

No they don't. They just require at the very least ONE corrupted futa. For example, if Sierra is reasonably corrupted spent more time going to the classroom she is in. Chances are that a event will fire there. Just be prepared for the high boosts to corruption, lust and inhibition because even a few of those events will cause a snowball effect.

Reinyn

I have tried it as you said. But somehow its broken, The Onsenticket for example cant be bought and the Naginata Shrine is not on the Map. Do you have the same errors?

Honestly no, no errors at all. The shrine was available immediatly and the only problem i had with the onsenticket is that i had to buy it on a weekday ( at least i think so ).
