Unlike forum rules, Mega TOS is a bunch of CYA stuff that almost has to be enforced selectively. Or go the Tumbler route. And Mega's business model is pretty much built around people uploading random crap onto it. They are not about providing a reliable cloud service or something like that.

Loli & Real Girl packs are especially risky.

You're violating someone's copyright or similar with virtually anything you put into a girl pack (and a great many other things). I'd say a (non-loli) Japanese eroge company is actually more likely to come after you than a porn starlet, as vanishing as both chances are right now.

I'm not aware of MEGA screening uploads for loli, shota, bestiality or whatever 'obscenity' covers in all the countries of the world. The risk seems to come entirely from the user base.

The fact that others happen to also be breaking Mega's rules doesn't change that.

The point is, your use of MEGA is founded upon breaking these rules. The whole 'adult game scene' is built around people not being asshats about it. If some go overboard and Mega does a Pornhub, will you be happily shrugging your shoulders and saying 'ah, well, they/we had it coming' as well?

Sucks that there are people actively reporting it, but it's not something I can get too worked up about.

If Goldo had put BK onto MEGA (a pretty reasonable assumption), and some vindicative player reported it, what do you think would have happened? At best, we'd have had the game and the images separated, and when Goldo grew tired of playing tag, he'd just say "Put your own art in there, the filenames are such and such".

We could start providing multiple download sources per girl pack using alternate hosts instead of being so Mega-centric, that would make vindictive takedowns a lot more cumbersome.

Are you volunteering? People use MEGA because it's convenient. If pack makers now have to create and maintain half a dozen separate repositories, I foresee a lot less new pack makers ever doing more than a few.

TLDR: 'I don't care, doesn't affect me' is not a good attitude to take here, since the way BK draws players is founded on proprietary art.

I support and suggest an immediate step of replacing the link on F95zone of the girl spreadsheet with a link to the HHS forum girlpacks thread, where the first post on that HHS thread includes the actual link to the spreadsheet.

The HHS spreadsheet link does not need to be plaintext to make it visible to non-registered visitors, and I suggest that would be a small enough risk to maintain support for casual users.

It's a lot more entitled to feel you should be able to freely download and use girl packs and hit only those you don't like while expecting the packmakers to just suck it up. Nobody here is breaking 'the law' any less than the other side.

And I remind you that 'the law' is 'any law in any country', not merely whatever you're used to. And copyright laws are largely a corporate invention. The moment they become inconvenient to the big corps, they are suddenly quite not as important anymore. See e.g. Disney vs Alan Dean Foster.

We don't operate in a 'grey' zone, we're fully in the 'black'. In situations like these, the unspoken convention has always been that you don't snitch on your supplier. Or there will be consequences.

Nobody mentioned a crusade. Leortha explicitly said we should not start an escalation. But a clear message that this isn't something pack makers tolerate, and an actual action (a lull in publishing, less support on F95 etc) to go with it is both the best and least we could do.

I'm sorry for what happened to Aren, didn't figure out that a bunch of bigoted people could possibly be on a H forum like F95zone. Since I'm the creator of the girl packs discussion there it's my duty to let them know that we won't tolerate any further sabotage of our packs, especially when nobody breaks forum rules.

Well the upside is I can use the time. I’m working on how I want to put them back up. To update my packs to a far better quality. I already have all of them up to B+ and A+ now I’m adding WEBMs to all of them.
