good idea for a thread

cypress' events come to mind, you might need to search the thread for hotfixes, I dont know how current the first post is
https://www.henthighschool.com/ashford-academy/new-events-based-on-cypress_z's-suggestions/

in clefs thread also is another pack linked
https://www.henthighschool.com/ashford-academy/additional-events/msg8188/#msg8188

further installation instructions in your post would be nice

Great idea sir!

I created a wiki page for this at https://www.henthighschool.com/ashford-academy/wiki/game/mods if you are interested to add the info there as well.
I just quickly made a draft of how it could look and you (as well as everyone) are free to update and edit it.

Might make it much simpler to keep track of all the great mods that are released.

Cheerio!

I'd be interested if Tsapas could link me to the mod he mentions here. The download link he gives requires a Premium membership, it'd be nice if he could provide one that's more friendly to us poor folk, if he reads this  :)

It's reuploaded in a later post down that thread. I wasn't initially aware that speedyshare went premium only :).

@Ashford, good call.

I think the Wiki should have mods in section ones that work in progress, ones considered complete and one that have been abandon ie the author has disappeared and not been seen for sometime. If the author release the source code and asks for someone else to take over make it easier to see which one are available

I've noticed several of these mods modify the same files. It might be a good idea to have someone make a "composite versions" that would support combinations of mods, at which point mod makers should make effort to update said versions of the files rather than overwrite each other's changes.

I was under the impression that, as of the new update, Cypress's events have been incorporated into the game proper? Someone confirm this for me, if I'm wrong, I'll add that to the OP as well.
Nope, they aren't.

Which files are these? Off the top of my head, since all those listed mods are basically separate event packs, they shouldn't have shared files between them.

I might be mistaking same named files in different subfolders.

Well, actually the newly added disstoncity/Cypress' event pack and Severin's basement location do alter some "core" files I think, not sure (I didn't see they were added as well). But don't know if they're compatible with 0.5, especially Severin's.

I would say nope. I just tried to install the basement and got an error saying that new game plus is defined twice. It might be conflicting with other mods I've installed but this is the only one where I got any error whatsoever.

I made the mistake of installing them all at once...YAY!

Now with v0.5, I'm getting errors every month, that prevent me from increasing my population, getting funds, etc. And the cafeteria isn't showing up as an upgrade. (Error message suggests the cafeteria is the root of the problem).

Anyone else have this issue and know what's causing it? My thoughts are that it is mostly likely the basement mod..I may just re-install without it..shame too...it looks good...

I wonder if they'll all work with an older version instead....hmm....

The monthly bug might be related to a 0.5 bug and not caused by the extra mods (depends on the error you get). Check this post for a possible solution.

About the cheerleader club, that is quite correct. The basement mod is based on an older release, altering some core files. The newer version has some extra code (cheerleader club among others) that gets overwritten when you apply that mod, hence the errors.

was worth the shot, but that wasn't it. Here's the trackback...

Don't mind it, the version just isn't changed internally so it still reads 0.4 in the code.

Anyway, try these files I've attached. Did a quick update in the basement mod files to be compatible with 0.5, and unless I missed something obvious it should work fine.
